There is something I always loved besides being creative (and exploring creative processes) and thats obviously (for everyone who has been following my work a bit) nature with its calming forests, lakes and oceans with their endless horizons and all kind of natural remedies. I love this time of the year when everything starts to bloom and gets green. Its nearly like a holy process for me to explore plants and their healing powers. I am not an expert and I dont wanna give remdey tipps, because thats out of my knowledge zone. But I am curious, love to explore new plants and as there are tons of them, it`s a never ending process. For more tipps and knowledge about plants I recommend to read books of Wolf- Dieter Storl.
In spring the first thing I do is a “yarrow- tea- treatment” to clean my body and prepare myself for summer and warmer times. Already the act of collecting plants and strolling through fields and woods is very calming and grounding. The other thing I love to do at this time of the year is making salads with dandelion leafs. Eating parts of the first yellow dots that sprinkle the fields in spring. Isn´t that just beautiful? Its like getting a bit of sun and flowers in our bodies.
And as I also believe that we are entities, where mind and body are one and where the border to things around us isnt such a sharp line as we maybe used to believe, I wanted to make some jewelry out of this believe and love to all kind of greens. I like the thought of wearing a little plant as a symbol around the neck or as bracelet or anklet. These jewelry- pieces are small reminders that we are part of nature, that mother earth can help us, that we need to take care of her and us in order to stay healthy. And most important of all that we have the power to heal both our bodies and mindes by ourselves. So lets be a bit like elves this summer, feel the ground under our feet, touch and look at trees, flowers and plants consciously as if we would see them the first time.
